How do Revolut RevPoints work in the UK?
RevPoints is Revolut’s loyalty programme. Eligible customers who join the programme can earn points through qualifying activities, including eligible purchases made with a Revolut debit card.
The number of RevPoints earned on eligible card spending depends on your Revolut subscription plan. In the UK, Standard and Plus have the same regular earning rate, while Premium, Metal and Ultra offer progressively higher rates.
This guide focuses on the United Kingdom. It explains the published earning rates in GBP, provides spending examples, describes important exclusions and outlines ways to redeem your points.
UK RevPoints at a glance
Regular UK earning rates range from 1 RevPoint per £10 of eligible spending on Standard and Plus to 1 RevPoint per £1 on Ultra. Not every transaction qualifies, and earning more points does not necessarily make a paid subscription better value for money.
Revolut RevPoints UK earning rates by plan
Revolut publishes the following standard earning rates for eligible card purchases made by participating personal account customers in the United Kingdom.
| Revolut plan | Earning rate | Points on £1,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 1 point per £10 | 100 |
| Plus | 1 point per £10 | 100 |
| Premium | 1 point per £4 | 250 |
| Metal | 1 point per £2 | 500 |
| Ultra | 1 point per £1 | 1,000 |
The points shown for £1,000 are simplified calculations assuming that the entire amount is eligible. Actual points awarded may differ because of transaction exclusions, rounding and programme conditions.
For example, a Metal customer spending £1,000 on fully eligible purchases would earn an estimated 500 RevPoints at the published regular rate of 1 point per £2.
These rates are for the UK
Do not automatically apply British earning rates to Revolut accounts registered in other countries. RevPoints conditions can vary by market, plan, card type and programme eligibility.
Example: How many RevPoints can you earn from £1,500 per month?
Assume that you spend £1,500 each month on transactions that fully qualify for regular RevPoints earning. The following simplified estimates show how the five plans compare.
| Plan | Monthly points | Yearly points |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 150 | 1,800 |
| Plus | 150 | 1,800 |
| Premium | 375 | 4,500 |
| Metal | 750 | 9,000 |
| Ultra | 1,500 | 18,000 |
Yearly estimates assume 12 months of identical eligible spending. These figures do not include additional points from promotions, travel bookings or other earning methods.

Which Revolut plan earns the most RevPoints in the UK?
Higher subscription tiers can earn more RevPoints from the same amount of eligible card spending. However, paid plans also have subscription fees and other features to consider.
Standard & Plus
Both earn 1 RevPoint per £10 of eligible card spending. Plus does not have a higher regular RevPoints earning rate than Standard in the UK.
Premium & Metal
Premium earns 1 point per £4, while Metal earns 1 point per £2. For the same eligible spending amount, Metal produces twice as many regular points as Premium.
Ultra
Ultra offers the highest published regular personal-plan earning rate in the UK: 1 RevPoint per £1 of eligible card spending. Its subscription fee must also be considered.
Choosing a plan based only on RevPoints can be misleading. Compare the cost of a paid subscription with the other benefits you actually use, such as applicable travel features and account services.
What spending earns RevPoints in the UK?
Revolut allows eligible personal account customers who have joined RevPoints to earn points on qualifying purchases with a Revolut debit card. Eligibility rules and exclusions apply.
Eligible debit card purchases
Qualifying card purchases may earn points at the regular rate for your subscription plan. Only spending that meets the programme’s eligibility requirements should be included in your estimate.
Stays, Experiences and Shops
Revolut also describes additional earning opportunities through qualifying Stays and Experiences bookings and eligible Revolut Shops purchases. Separate terms and earning rates can apply.
Other programme features
Depending on availability, Revolut may offer points purchases, spare change conversions or Revolut Pay earning opportunities. These are not the same as earning free points through standard eligible card spending.
Spare change is different from regular earning
When the spare change feature is enabled, a portion of an eligible transaction can be used to purchase RevPoints. Those purchased points should not be confused with the regular points earned from eligible card spending.
Which transactions do not earn RevPoints?
Some transactions are excluded from earning regular RevPoints even when they are made using a Revolut account or card.
According to Revolut’s UK help information, excluded categories include various financial services, money transfers, wallet top-ups, crypto purchases, brokerage activity and other cash-like transactions.
Other excluded categories include tax payments, fines, penalties, certain government-related payments, gambling and betting, utility providers, charities, educational institutions and specific merchant categories or business services.
Transactions made using a Revolut Pro account are also excluded from the regular personal RevPoints earning rules described here.
Why exclusions matter when calculating points
If your monthly card spending includes transactions that do not qualify, entering your entire spending total may overestimate your RevPoints. Use your expected eligible purchase amount instead.
For the latest exclusions and detailed conditions, see Revolut’s official UK RevPoints earning guide.
How can you redeem RevPoints in the UK?
RevPoints can be redeemed for eligible rewards and benefits offered through the programme. Available options and their terms may change.

Transfer points to participating airline loyalty programmes where supported. The available partners, conversion ratios and transfer conditions should be checked before confirming a transfer.
Stays & Experiences

Shopping rewards
Depending on the current offer, Revolut may provide gift cards, eligible Revolut Pay discounts or other options for redeeming points.
